We will be having a CASH BASH on October 23, 2010 from 7:00 PM until 11:00 PM at the Ross Twp. Community Center. Tickets are $20.00 each and include a raffle every 15 minutes with prizes from $250.00 to $3000.00. There will also be side raffles offered. USFA Releases Vacant Residential Building Fires Report This report presents fire-related findings associated with the recent increase in the number of vacant residential buildings.
USFA Releases Fatal Fires in Residential Buildings Report An estimated 1,800 fatal residential building fires occur annually in the United States, resulting in an average of 2,635 deaths, 725 injuries, and $196 million in property loss.
USFA Releases One- and Two-Family and Multifamily Residential Fires Topical Reports Based on data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) for 2005 to 2007, the reports document that cooking is, by far, the leading cause of fire in both building types, followed by heating.

I am pleased to announce that we have been awarded a grant for a new ladder truck from FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security through the assistance to firefighters grant program. The award was for the amount of $650,000.00. We will now begin the process of putting together the specifications to acquire a new ladder truck.
Residents of Bellevue:
Our annual fund drive letters have been mailed out and you should have already recieved your donation request from the Bellevue Volunteer Fire Company. Several residents have contacted us in regards to phone solicitations for money for the fire comoany. We DO NOT solicit via phone. The only method we use for our annual fund drive is the US Mail. You should recieve a request with our name on it. If you have any questions, please contact me @ 412-589-5406.
